Apple TV+'s revisionist history series, For All Mankind, is getting a spinoff, and Star Citywill tell the story of the Space Race from a different perspective. Nearly a year after the show was initially announced, the latest news confirms the first cast member has joined Star City.

Perhaps best known for his turn on Max's smash-hit fantasy series, House of the Dragon, Rhys Ifans has been tapped to play a starring role in the spinoff. Though his character's name isn't known yet, Ifans will be playing the Soviet Space Program's Chief Designer, an important early figure in the Space Race for the USSR.
