Origins[]

Sweetums was a Muppet ogre who worked as a Jack for the used car dealership of "Mad Man Mooney".

Working here, he met Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo & Camilla who were travelling to Hollywood in hopes of making it big. Sweetums assisted them by swatting a fly over the $1197 sign of a car, punctuating it to be $11.97 which when combined with the $12 trade-in on their original vehicle, caused Mad Man Mooney to owe them a nickel.

Kermit offered Sweetums the opportunity to join them on their trip to Hollywood, causing Sweetums to run-off. Kermit then drove off, not realizing Sweetums was grabbing his belongings to join them. Sweetums then ran across the country to join with the rest of the Muppets, eventually meeting with them in Hollywood after they signed their "Rich & Famous" Contract, bursting through the screen at the end of that respective movie.

After this, Sweetums became a performer in the Muppet Show.
